How to Record WhatsApp Calls on Android and iPhone

WhatsApp is a great messenger app with a number of features including both video and audio calls. We use it every single day because it’s convenient and just works. But there is one feature that has been missing for a while and that is call recording. Of course, there is a major concern of surveillance and misuse with call recordings, but sometimes we desperately need it. If you want to record WhatsApp calls there are a few workarounds, but it’s not full-proof as it also depends on the smartphone you are using. That being said, this is your best bet right now. So, here is how you can record WhatsApp calls on Android and iPhone.

Note: Make sure that you are not breaching privacy or law of the land by secretly recording calls. You should take informed consent from the callee prior to the recording.
Recording WhatsApp Calls on Android and iPhone

Since WhatsApp call recording process is different for Android and iOS devices, we have created separate sections. Feel free to skip to the section that you want to read.
Record WhatsApp Calls on Android

WhatsApp call recording doesn’t work on every Android device. Some devices have VoIP call recording enabled and some don’t. Go through this updated list and check if your device is mentioned there. If you don’t want to go through the list, just follow the steps and you will know if your phone is supported or not. Also, note that devices running on Android Pie may prevent the recording due to restrictions at the OS level.

1. Install Cube Call Recorder app (free, in-app purchases) and open it. Grant all the necessary permissions and you are good to go.

Tips:: Accidentally deleted your WhatsApp chat history? Don't panic! You can follow instructions here to restore deleted WhatsApp messages from Android without backup.

2. Now, open WhatsApp and make a call, a widget should appear on your screen indicating it’s recording your WhatsApp call. If the widget doesn’t appear then manually tap on the microphone icon in the Cube Recorder app. It will start recording your call thereafter.

3. In some cases the recordings don’t have audio from the other side. To fix this issue, tap on the hamburger menu and open “Recording”. Change VoIP recording audio source to Microphone. Note that it will turn on the loudspeaker as well.

Besides WhatsApp calls, you can use this app to record cellular calls as well. In our testing, WhatsApp call recording worked flawlessly, both on Mi A1 and Redmi Note 6 Pro, without changing the default settings.
Record WhatsApp Calls on iPhone

iOS is pretty strict when it comes to privacy, so there is no easy way to record calls be it WhatsApp calls or cellular. However, there is a hack which accomplishes the task but it takes a lot of work. It’s a tedious process where you will need a Mac, an iPhone, and a secondary smartphone with WhatsApp account. The secondary device can be either Android or iPhone. We need a secondary device as your primary device will remain connected to your Mac for recording.

Tips: How to Backup and Restore WhatsApp Message on Android or iPhone

1. Connect your iPhone to Mac and give necessary permissions. Now, open QuickTime and click on the File menu. Here, choose “New Audio Recording”, select your iPhone as the source, and click on the record button.

2. From your iPhone, make a WhatsApp call to your secondary WhatsApp device. Once connected, use the WhatsApp’s group calling feature to add the person you want to talk to.

Download Gihosoft Free Android Data Recovery Software to Restore Deleted or Lost Files from Android

3. Now continue the conversation using the secondary device. After you are done with the conversation, stop the recording on Quicktime and save it on your Mac.

Note: Keep the iPhone connected to the Mac all through the conversation. Also, all three WhatsApp numbers should be active in the group call. Disconnection of any of the device will prevent the recording.

That’s it, I hope that this tutorial was able to help you record your voice calls on WhatsApp. If you want to learn more about the popular chatting application, you can read our WhatsApp tips article where we share many tips and tricks to help you get the most out it.

Record Your WhatsApp Calls

As you can see it is not easy to record WhatsApp calls. With the ongoing tighter privacy controls, we can only assume that it is going to be even harder in the future. iOS already makes it next to impossible to record calls and Android is slowly moving in the same direction. Let us know if you were able to use our methods to record WhatsApp calls or not. Also, what do you feel about these new privacy standards which are preventing users from recording your calls? Apple’s Acquisition of Texture Could be Worth At Least $485 Million

In March, Apple officially unveiled Apple News+, a brand new subscription service built upon digital magazine spines (and some digital newspapers). To build that service, Apple needed to acquire the “Netflix of magazines”, Texture. A new report aims to shed some light on just how much that acquisition last year cost Apple.

Texture recently confirmed that it was shutting down its services soon. For iOS users that’s not a huge loss, because Texture already cost $9.99 per month and that’s what Apple News+ costs. However, 30% of Texture’s users were on Android (and Windows), and those users won’t be able to access Apple News+ (unless they get an iOS device). That leaves them out in the cold for a subscription service with access to hundreds of magazines.

Now, The New York Post has put together a report that breaks down how the money situation worked behind-the-scenes. According to the publication, Apple’s acquisition worked out to be a total of $485 million, but it’s not just one lump sum of that size. To start, Apple reportedly paid $100 million upfront to companies Condé Nast, Rogers Media, Meredith, and Hearst — all of which are publishers.

Next, guaranteed payouts for those publishers upwards of $145 million for the first year. In the second and third years, Apple then guaranteed the companies an additional $240 million. Putting it all together, Apple’s acquisition of Texture is upwards of $485 million if all these numbers are the real deal.

Which means Apple sees a lot of potential with News+, but needs to see a return on that. According to a recent report, Apple News+ saw a total of 200,000 people sign up for the subscription service within its first 48 hours of availability. However, News+ comes with a 30-day free trial period (before it switches to $9.99 per month). Will all of those customers stick with the service? That remains to be seen.
Have you tried out Apple News+ yet?

How to charge your Android phone battery faster

Get the right plug and charger

While Android chargers have a universal fitting, that doesn't mean they're all the same. Connecting your charging cable to a laptop is a bad idea if you want to charge your phone quickly: a USB 2.0 port chucks out just 2.5 watts of power, while USB 3 delivers 4.5 watts. Your wall charger will deliver much more, so this is the best bet if you want the speediest charging.

This is why your smartphone is charges slowly

Many modern Android phones support fast charging, which delivers a whopping 15-18 watts and can, therefore, charge your phone much more quickly. You'll find a good list of fast charging phones on the Qualcomm website (you don't need to have a Qualcomm processor; just Qualcomm's power system).

Be aware that just because a phone supports fast charging, it doesn't mean the charger that came with it is a fast charger, or the most effective charger possible for that phone. You may have to buy your own. For example, the LG G6 came with a stock charger that used Quick Charge 2.0, just like the G5, even though both phones support Quick Charge 3.0.

How to fix a phone that won't charge

The best battery packs and portable chargers for Android

You don't necessarily need to buy your phone maker's own charger – a third party one can save you a fortune – but be wary of no-name gray market cheapies, which have a tendency to set things on fire.

Your phone might support fast charging, but may not come with a fast charger. / © AndroidPIT

We also don't recommend using wireless charging if you're in a hurry. Wireless charging can't deliver power as well or as quickly as good old-fashioned cables, so it's best used when you have more time on your hands. The exception to this rule is wireless quick charging. This will be more effective than USB charging, but less effective than cable charging from a wall socket.

What's the best way to charge your phone?

Best wireless chargers for Android
Put it into airplane mode

The less your phone is trying to do while it's charging, the more quickly it will recharge. Airplane mode blocks any wireless radios on your device, reducing your phone's capabilities and therefore stopping it from doing so much.

It won't receive calls or messages while it's in airplane mode, but it’s worth it to have a device that will stay on for the next few hours.

Turn it off

Turning your phone off completely will allow it to recharge even faster than putting it in airplane mode. Again, you might miss out on a few notifications while it is off, but you'll have to live with that if you want your phone to last until you come home again.

Opinion by Nicholas Montegriffo

Having the willpower to leave our phone turned off every now and then can save a lot of battery stress.

What do you think?

Use a battery-saving mode

Ever since Lollipop, Android devices have a battery saving mode of some description (usually Settings>Battery>Battery Saver), whether it's the stock option or a manufacturer-specific feature such as Motorola's Doze. Switch this on to conserve power while your phone recharges.

No matter what Android phone you have, you can always find some battery-saving solutions. / © AndroidPIT
Switch off unnecessary features

Check to see if you have any unnecessary features on, such as Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi or NFC, which could be using up battery power. Close all your apps and stop your phone from doing automatic backups or updating apps from the Google Play Store.

Switch off some system features when you aren't using them. / © AndroidPIT
Don't touch it

If you need your phone on and out of airplane mode while it's charging, because you are expecting an important call, try not to keep using your phone every 30 seconds. Why? Because the screen is the biggest battery drainer of them all.

The more you wake your phone, the faster its battery will drain. So try to avoid the urge to check every notification that comes through, leave it to charge, and it will reach the desired level much faster.

Find out how to manage notifications in Android.
Keep it cool

Temperature matters when it comes to technology, and it's never good to let a battery get too hot. Now, this doesn’t mean you should stick your phone in the freezer while it charges, it's better to avoid heat than inflict extreme cold.

No need to go to extremes. / © AndroidPIT

Always charge your phone in a cool or room temperature spot. Don’t leave it to charge in direct sunlight or in a hot car. If you’re using a portable battery charger, don’t charge your phone in your pocket.

If you can avoid getting your battery too warm, it'll reward you with a slightly faster charge.
Buy a portable USB charger

This won't actually charge your phone faster, but it will solve the problem of having a low battery and not enough time to fully charge it. Portable USB chargers come in small, lightweight packages and often can be picked up for less than $20.

Carry one of these in your pocket and you can charge your phone on-the-go – meaning you don't have to worry about that last minute dash to pump some juice into it. Have a look at what we're talking about over at Amazon.

How To Find Out Who’s Tracking You on Android 2018 Guide

How To Find Out Who’s Tracking You on Android 2019 Guide

Today, spy apps can be used to track somebody without their knowledge. They’re very popular even outside the law enforcement community. Some of the top spy software users are parents. It’s a dangerous world out there, and parents want to make sure their kids are safe at all times.

Find Out Who’s Tracking You on Android

Code 1: *#21#

This code will let you find out whether your messages, calls, and other data are being diverted. You can find details about call forwarding. You can even find out where your data, voice, fax, SMS, sync, async, Packet access, and pad access call forwarding enabled or disabled.
Code 2: *#62#

If your friend tells you, that your number is saying no-service or no-answer, then you need to dial this code on your smartphone to find out where your calls, messages, and data are being redirected. There are possibilities that your calls are being redirected to one of your cell phone operator’s numbers.
Code 3: ##002#

This is a universal code to deactivate all call forwarding. This will immediately switch off all the redirections from your phone. If you feel that your call is being redirected, then you can dial this code to stop the redirecting. It will be a good idea to use this code before you have to use roaming so that the money won’t be taken from your account.
Code 4: *#06#

This code is used to find the International Mobile Equipment Identifier (IMEI). This code will be very useful to find the IMEI number of your smartphone. You can note down your IMEI number in a safe place. With the help of IMEI number, you can find your phone if someone steals it.
Code 5: *#*#4636#*#* or *#*#197328640#*#*

This special code allows anyone to track your location and also determine whether someone is following you.

Type in the following code in dial pad and then select the section called UMTS Cell Environment, then choose UMTS RR info. Now note down all the numbers under the Cell ID.

Now move to the main menu and then click on MM info tab > Serving PLMN. Now note down the numbers under Local area code (LAC).

After noting down these two numbers open the website opencelid and select the fourth tab to the left. From there you can determine the location on the map of the basic station that your phone is connected to.

Good phone spy software lets you read text messages, track photos, monitor social media, track location data, and even record phone calls. Today’s best spy software will record all data online where you – as a concerned parent or spouse – can quietly access it. Some of the spy software on this list can even record ambient noise through the microphone or remotely take a photo using the phone’s camera.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at the 5 best spy apps for iPhone and Android.
1) SPYFONE.COM

SpyFone rightfully holds the top spot in our review of the best cell phone spy software for 2018. Available for Android or iPhone, SpyFone offers world-class monitoring at a surprisingly affordable price ($24 per month for 6 months).

SpyFone also edged out the competition for its ease of use: the software is advanced enough to handle complex requests, but the UI is extremely beginner-friendly. Whether you’re a programmer or you’re clueless with technology, you’ll have no trouble using SpyFone to monitor Android and iPhone devices.

Some of the notable features on SpyFone tracking software include:

Supervise All Activity: You can track usage 24/7 and even view phone screens in real-time.

Easy Online Monitoring: Track all phone usage via an easy online platform.

Check GPS Location Data: SpyFone has detailed GPS location tracking, making it easy to see where the target smartphone is down to a 10 to 15 feet radius.

Track Multiple Devices: SpyFone is one of the few tracking apps that lets you track multiple devices from a single account. You can track up to 5+ devices per account.

Track Calls and Texts: Want to track all communication from a specific device? You can easily do that with SpyFone. The software lets you remotely monitor calls, texts, emails, messaging apps, Facebook activity, social media conversations, and more.

Photo and Video Monitoring: Check which videos and photos are being saved, sent, or received from the targeted device. SpyFone lets you see all photos, videos, and other files stored on the device.

Completely Silent and Hidden: All of the apps on this list hide themselves on the device. However, SpyFone has the unique benefit of being absolutely indistinguishable from an ordinary device. You can choose to display a monitoring icon in the notification tray. Or, you can let the app run completely silently.

Works on All Platforms: SpyFone works with all Apple and Android devices, including phones from manufacturers like Motorola, Google, LG, Samsung, HTC, Huawei, and others.

No Jailbreak Required: SpyFone has a non-jailbreak version available, making it easy to install the app on any device, regardless of whether it’s been jailbroken or rooted.

There’s one more thing that distinguishes SpyFone from others on this list: you can buy a phone with pre-installed tracking software. Or, you can download the software and install the tracker yourself. No other tracking apps give you this option.

SpyFone is also totally hidden: once it’s been installed on a device, it’s impossible to detect unless you know exactly where to look in the root directories of the phone.

For all of these reasons and more, SpyFone is our favorite cell phone spy software.

Price: $24 per month for 6 months – $49 per month for monthly

2) MSPY

mSpy is one of the more popular iPhone and Android tracking apps. With over 1 million users, mSpy has helped people worldwide track and monitor all types of phone communications.

The biggest hurdle with mSpy is the installation process: you’ll need to install the mSpy app on your targeted phone, then activate it using your product key. Once you’ve done that, you can monitor all phone communications remotely through the mSpy online platform.

mSpy lets you track everything you would expect to track, including SMS, WhatsApp messages, Facebook Messenger messages, phone calls, browsing history, and GPS location. Additional features include social media monitoring, a non-jailbreak version, parental controls, and even a keylogger.

Social Media Monitoring: Track activity on Snapchat, Facebook, WhatsApp, Skype, and other popular social media apps.

Keylogger: Monitor everything that’s being typed into the device, including passwords, search history, and messages.

Non-Jailbreak Version Available: Other phone spy apps require rooting or jailbreaking. mSpy has a non-jailbreak version available, although you’ll still need to know your target’s Apple ID and password.

Parental Controls: mSpy lets you automatically block inappropriate websites, unwanted apps, and incoming calls.

Overall, mSpy is ideal for parents looking to monitor their children. It’s feature-rich and easy to use. The company also has tech support standing by to walk you through the process.

Price: $30 to $230 (Basic, Premium, and Bundle subscription kits are all available)

Website: www.mspy.com
3) FLEXISPY

FlexiSPY is best known for its Call Interception feature, which allows you to record and secretly listen to phone calls. However, this feature is only available on rooted or jailbroken devices.

Aside from Call Interception, FlexiSPY has all of the great features you’d expect to find on a top cell phone spy app.

Live Call Interception: Intercept any phone call on the target device, then listen to and record the conversation.

Record Ambient Noise: Remotely activate the target phone’s microphone to listen to ambient noise. You can also record any ambient noise that gets picked up on the phone’s microphone.

RemCam: Remotely activate the camera on the target phone to quietly take a picture, then view that photo through your FlexiSPY account.

If you don’t mind rooting or jailbreaking your device before you install the spying app, then FlexiSPY is a powerful option. It has features you can’t find on any other tracking app. It’s also the oldest spy app on this list, having been originally launched in 2006. However, it doesn’t work at all on non-rooted or non-jailbroken devices.

Price: $149 to $349 (Premium and Extreme versions are both available)

Website: www.FlexiSPYApp.com
4) HIGHSTER MOBILE

Highster Mobile is another popular phone tracking app. It’s not as feature-rich as SpyFone, but it does an excellent job of providing comprehensive phone tracking of the most essential phone functions. You can use Highster Mobile to track GPS data, text messages, call logs, photos, browsing history, contacts, calendar, app data, and more, for example.

If you’re looking for a reasonably priced phone spying app available for iOS and Android devices, then Highster Mobile is a great option.

One-Time Fee: Other options on this list, including mSpy, charge monthly subscription fees. Highster Mobile, on the other hand, charges a one-time fee of $69.99.

View Call Logs: Highster Mobile won’t record the actual phone calls. However, it will record all call logs, including the date, time, numbers, and duration of those calls.

View Browsing History: Monitor which websites have been visited on your target devices.

Track GPS Data: Know where your target device is at all times, including its location history and current location.

Message Monitoring: Track all text messages sent on the device, including deleted messages.

View Photos: Any photos on the device will be uploaded to your Highster Mobile account.

Social Media Monitoring: Highster Mobile lets you monitor social media apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, and Snapchat, although you’ll need to root the target device first.

Ultimately, if you’re looking for great GPS, message, and photo tracking at a reasonable price, then Highster Mobile might be the right choice for you. However, if you’re looking for advanced social media monitoring, then you may want to stick with a more feature-rich option like SpyFone.

Price: $69.99 (one-time fee)

Website: www.HighsterMobi.com
5) PHONESHERIFF

PhoneSheriff has a catchy name. it also has enough features to compete with SpyFone and other top phone spying apps on our list. The app is designed to be easy for everyone to use. Like mSpy, you’ll find plenty of parental control features.

Block Anything: PhoneSheriff will block virtually anything unwanted from your phone – including specific apps, websites, and contacts. You can totally prevent the phone from calling or messaging a specific person, for example.

Create Time Restrictions: Block all phone activity during certain times of the day. You might block all app usage during homework time, for example, or prevent phone calls overnight.

Geo-Fencing Alerts: Receive an alert when the target device travels outside a certain geo-fenced area. You can designate the area on your map via your PhoneSheriff control panel.

Profanity Alert: Setup your own custom list of vulgar words. Then, you’ll receive an alert whenever one of those words is typed into the device. This can also be used for certain trigger words that aren’t profanity. If you’re tracking a spouse, for example, then you might add your own name to the profanity alert system.

Overall, PhoneSheriff is a tracking app catered towards parents who want to track their kids. Popular unique features include time restrictions, profanity filters, and a geo-fencing alert. Although it’s catered to parents, some of its features may appeal to other phone spy app users – like jealous spouses.

There’s one major drawback of PhoneSheriff: due to legal problems, you can no longer purchase the hidden version of PhoneSheriff. The app notifies users that they’re being monitored at all times, which is why this is ideal for parents who are tracking their kids.

Price: $49 to $89 (6 month and 12 month subscriptions available)
